Storytelling and Workshops are offered for the following age groups: Preschool (age 3-5), Elementary (age 6-8), Tweens (age 9-12), and Teens (age 12 and up).

STORYTELLING
Storytellings are age-appropriate, dramatic, interactive performances. Magical, original tales generated by the students’ ideas or stories built on a current classroom theme or topic capture the attention and inspiration of students of all ages.
For small and large group audiences, storytelling can range from 5 – 25 minutes.
StoryUP! WORKSHOPS
Storytellers from preschool to teen will enjoy creating their own stories in an age-appropriate format. Elements of improvisational theater and process drama help us create stories that bring characters and ideas to life, laying the groundwork for making our own storybooks. Students practice teambuilding skills by working together and are empowered by personal expression as through their stories they learn about particular themes of study or issues of importance in their own lives.
Workshops generally run 90 minutes but can be customized into a longer series of multiple sessions, or adapted to a desired theme or curriculum need.

COZY STORIES: Family Literacy Program
The Cozy Stories Family Literacy Program is intended for parents, grandparents and caregivers together with their children or adaptable for adult-only instruction. Attendees will get practice with hands-on activities that can be done at home to increase literacy and language enrichment for long-lasting habits of making words, books, reading and writing a rich part of family life. Themes and activities including family culture and history, local geography, cooking, music and poetry, arts and more will help jumpstart participants’ creativity and empower families with the tools to improve their children’s lifelong literacy practice and enjoyment.
Cozy Stories Family Literacy Program is offered as a 90-minute workshop or a 6- to 8- week series of workshops.
